Additional options for giving: Local events that you organize at the community level with your friends and colleagues. There are lots of ways that the community can support the work that we do at Wellspring. For example, you can host a dinner party and have a donation jar or pass the hat. You could put on a house concert of some other local event and donate the proceeds to Wellspring.
In a residential setting, too much downtime can be risky. Recreational activities, like art, exercise, games, or group outings, aren’t just for fun; they’re powerful tools for healing. They help residents manage stress, build connections, and learn to enjoy life in new, healthy ways. For nonprofits, there isn’t always a budget for certain extras, but they make a world of difference.
Another area that the budget doesn’t always cover are renovation and maintenance needs. Our buildings are more than walls — they’re spaces of healing, hope, and second chances. But keeping them safe, welcoming, and functional takes constant care, and unlike for-profit organizations, we can’t simply budget in every repair that might come our way. That’s why every donation matters.
At Wellspring we look to our community for help in caring for those who need our services. Donations of all sizes are welcome. Please consider donating even if your budget is $5, $10, or $25. It all adds up and sometimes it’s easier to make smaller donations occasionally rather than one large contribution.
