Matt Watkins has over 25 years of banking experience in his role as Vice President and Mortgage Loan Officer at Bangor Savings Bank serving Bangor and Central Maine. He is a graduate of the University of Maine where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Geological Sciences. Matt later received his Certificate of Graduation from The New England School of Banking at Williams College. He joined Bangor Savings Bank in 2007 where he served as a Commercial Lender. Prior to joining Bangor Savings Bank, Matt served in a variety of roles as an Assistant Vice President at KeyBank including Consumer Lender and Business Banking Officer. He also served as a Customer Assistance Loss Prevention Representative at MBNA, now Bank of America.
Matt is involved in his community, serving on the Board of Directors for Wellspring. He is a lifelong resident of Bangor, where he resides with his wife, Amy, and his son, Braden. Matt is an avid photographer, traveler, Boston sports fan, and aviation enthusiast.
